Explore Car Rental N.V. d.b.a. AVIS Rent A Car

Started its operations in 1996 with a fleet of 50 new vehicles. Initially Explore Car Rental operated under its own name and it was very successful in the tourist segment.

In November 2003 Explore Car Rental moved to its new facility, Situated at schotlandstraat 85. This facility located close by the most important hotel area of the island.

             In February of 2005, Explore Car Rental N.V. took over the Franchise brand AVIS  over from its previous licensee. From that moment on.
       Explore Car Rental N.V. started operating under the Franchise name of AVIS  Rent a Car. With the take-over of this Brand, the company expanded its market share and is able to Cater directly to all international customers of AVIS.  

As part of the franchise chain of AVIS  International, all its sales and reservations transactions are handled by the Wizard global reservation system. AVIS  Rent a Car, has the most modern fleet of all car rentals on the island.

The fleet renewing process has been completed and the average age of the cars is now one and a half years old.
